DAVID L. GROBART

David has over twenty years experience handling all aspects of commercial and retail real estate development, acquisitions, leasing, construction lending and corporate law matters. David additionally has extensive experience in land use and zoning matters, including conducting hearings necessary to obtain required governmental permits and development approvals. David was previously Senior Counsel to Walgreens drug stores in Walgreens’ real estate and retail store expansion program nationally, and in its distribution center development.

In addition to his work at Walgreens, David has years of experience in private practice as Managing Partner of high quality commercial real estate practices nationally and in Puerto Rico. David is contributing author in the Lease Negotiation Handbook and has lectured in the past for the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Attorneys and Executives in Corporate Real Estate, the DePaul University Real Estate Law Center, and Lorman Educational Services, in the fields of shopping center law, commercial real estate development, land use and zoning, and commercial office and retail leasing. David received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, where he graduated with distinction and was honored with membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honors society. He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, where he was a member of and published in the Loyola University of Chicago Law Review.
